Reporter Nurlan Gahramanli was detained
Baku/24.10.23/Turan: On October 24, reporter Nurlan Gahramanli was detained 24 when he held a protest rally in front of the Prosecutor General's Office.
He protested against his detention on September 21, arrest for 30 days and physical pressure.
According to the reporter, on September 21, prosecutors took him away in his home clothes, not allowing him to change clothes.
In the investigation department of the Prosecutor General's Office, he was beaten because of his publications on social networks, and then subjected to administrative arrest.
Gahramanli considers this a violation of freedom of expression and today he demanded a meeting with the Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev. After that, he was detained by the police right in front of the Prosecutor General's Office.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turan reported that information on this issue will be provided later.
The attempts to get comments from the Prosecutor General's Office were futile. --06B---
