Lawyers petitioned to remove from T.Mustafayev status of a victim
In the trial of the journalist Khadija Ismailova defense petitioned for removal from Tural Mustafayev the status of a victim. They have proved it by Mustafayev’s today’s testimony in court that Ismailova did not had a relations to his attempt to commit suicide. He said that the attempt of suicide became a result of a quarrel with his bride. His bride Rovshana Rahimova c and his mother Turala Mustafayeva confirmed it to the court.
Despite this, the court rejected the petition, according to lawyer Fariz Namazly.
Witnesses also said that his attempt to suicide attempt was associated with mental health problems of Mustafayev. Being drunk, he loses control of himself. Twenty five days before the incident he was treated at the clinic for the mentally ill.
Today, as witnesses were questioned by journalists Chingiz Sultansoy, Shahveled Chobanoglu and a lawyer Samira Agayeva.
Chobanoglu said that he published the newspapers "A different way of thinking" and "Radio Azadlig", and Ismailova did not relate to this project. He said that Ismayilova’s arrested was completely justified. Other witnesses were also in favor of Ismailova. The trial will continue tomorrow. -06D-
