"Musavat": The authorities bear responsibility for the death of Rasim Aliyev
"Musavat" party issued a statement in connection with the beating and murder of the journalist Rasim Aliyev. This case demonstrates the presence of atmosphere of intolerance for freedom of speech in society. Rasim Aliyev was the victim of legal nihilism, arbitrariness, impunity. The lack of a fair judicial system is another reason for this result.
"Musavat" party believes that the Azerbaijani authorities are responsible for the death of Rasim Aliyev, and the responsible for this situation demand strict punishment of the perpetrators of this crime. -02D-

On January 13, the trial in the case of public activist Nijat Ibrahim continued in the Baku Serious Crimes Court under the chairmanship of Judge Aygun Gurbanova.
