Licenses of Lider TV and three other TV channels canceled
Baku/24.05.21/Turan: The licenses of Lider TV, Mingəçevir TV, Dalğa TV and ARB Ulduz were canceled by the decision of the National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting.
Lider TV will be suspended from June. The decision to revoke the license of this TV channel was made based on the entry into force of the court decision on the bankruptcy of the TV channel. Dala TV's license was canceled due to unjustified suspension of broadcasting in a row for 30 days, and Mingəçevir TV and ARB Ulduz groundlessly stopped broadcasting for 60 consecutive days. The Baku Commercial Court declared Lider TV bankrupt in June 2020.
Experts note that in recent years the company has faced financial difficulties, employees have not been paid salaries. The TV channel has been operating since September 2000. -16d-
