The newspaper Azerbaijan assesses the social policy in the country, calling it successful. The author recalls the already known figures that took place during the quarantine period. This is the allocation of 600 million manats to pay salaries to public sector employees.
In 16 districts and cities, nearly 290 hundred low-income and unemployed were paid 190 manats. Measures for social support of citizens in connection with the pandemic covered almost 5 million citizens.
The website Müsavat.com is discussing with the deputy Fazil Mustafa the arrest on August 13 of the ambassador to Serbia, Eldar Hasanov. He is accused of misappropriation of budget funds, as well as other offenses.
The author notes that on the agenda is the recall of several ambassadors and their arrest. The article raises the question of whether ambassadors can apply for asylum abroad. The deputy recalls that the ambassadors have the status of immunity, however, if there is a committed crime, they can be brought to justice.
The MP considers it more important to discuss the issue of the appointment of ambassadors for bribes and the role of corruption in this issue.
The website Moderator.az discusses with Panah Huseyn the fact of Russia's sale of weapons to Armenia, sending military cargo to this country. As you know, since July 17, up to 400 tons of weapons and ammunition have been sent to Armenia. In this regard, Aliyev had a telephone conversation with Putin.
Panah Huseyn notes that Armenia continues to be Russia's military ally. They are in one block; Russian bases are located in Armenia. Russia will not change its policy towards Armenia.
In the mid-1990s, Russia sold Armenia weapons worth $ 2 billion. Then this issue was also discussed, but no significant changes took place.
The website Azpolitika.info discusses Azerbaijani-Russian and Azerbaijani-Turkish relations against the background of the Karabakh conflict with MP Vahid Ahmedov. According to him, in the end the issue will be resolved. Much also depends on what agreements will be signed between Azerbaijan and Turkey, the MP said. When asked what Russia would say to this, the deputy replied: “And what did they say to Russia when it acted in Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova”?
