Musavat Member Punished for Solitary Picket in Front of Foreign Ministry
Baku / 17.09.18 / Turan: A meeting will be held in Yasamal District Court on September 17, which will determine the measure of restraint against the member of the Musavat Party Aziz Shaheenoglu.
His "fault" lies in the fact that on September 15, on the day of the 100th anniversary of the liberation of Baku from the Armenian-Russian and British occupation forces, he held a single picket in front of the Foreign Ministry building, demanding an end to the imitation of negotiations with Armenia.
The activist of the Musavat Party Aziz Shaheen Oglu Gahramanov was detained and taken away by officers of the 29th police station of the Yasamal District Police Department for holding a single picket in front of the Foreign Ministry on September 15.
On the poster, which was held by the Gahramanov, it was written: "The Foreign Ministry must stop meaningless negotiations. Talk to the enemy in the language of war!".
Relatives of the detainee could not get information about his condition in the police station. Aziz Shaheenoglu does not answer phone calls.
Last year, Aziz Shaheenoglu was sentenced to 20 days' imprisonment for participating in an opposition rally. -0-
