Pseudo expertise of Ilham Amiraslanov
On July 1, an investigator Vusal and the doctor of Forensic Expertise Jeyhun Allahverdiyev visited civic activist Ilham Amiraslanov, who is kept in jail of Kurdakhani. However, a lawyer of the arrested was not invited.
In his letter Amiraslanov said that the doctor said there were not bruises on his body, he also said nothing explicit about the damage to his eardrum.
When asking to give him pain-killers, the doctor suggested to contact the investigator. The expert did not express his views on Amiraslanov’s pain in the chest. Instead, he prepared a statement on the absence of complaints from Amiraslanov.
The arrested Amiraslanov said that the reference was fictitious, it does not reflect its actual situation, and chest pain worsens.
Amiraslanov was beaten by police during the arrest on June 9, charged with possession of weapons and arrested. A lawsuits was filed against him, but all Amiraslanov’s requests and complaints to conduct a forensic examination, are not heard.
Colleagues on the staff of "Kura" believe that the true reason for Amiraslanov’s arrest is his active efforts to expose corruption in the allocation of compensation to victims of floods in 2010.-05B-
