Ritz-Carlton hotel opens in Baku
Baku/19.12.22/Turan: On Monday, a new five-star Ritz-Carlton hotel opened in Baku. This 130-meter building on 33 floors has 190 rooms and suites, restaurants, business centers and conference rooms.
14 floors of the building are reserved for hotel rooms, and residences and apartments start from the 15th floor. The hotel is located at the very beginning of Babek Avenue opposite the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center.
Construction of the building began in 2009 and was completed in 2015 by ZQAN, owned by former transport minister Ziya Mammadov. Then he received the consent of the American businessman Donald Trump, and a sign “Tramp Tower” appeared on the building. After Mammadov's dismissal, the building was taken away from him and the sign disappeared. For some time, the building was inactive. Two years ago, renovation work began on the building. --02B--
