Samir Ashurov, deported from Germany, faces new charges
Baku/21.07.22/Turan: Activist Samir Ashurov, who was arrested after being expelled from Germany, was charged under another Article of the Criminal Code - 221.3 (hooliganism committed with the use of a weapon or an object used as a weapon), his wife Nurana Ashurova said.
According to her, Samir does not plead guilty either under the previously presented Article 126.2.4 (causing grievous bodily harm), or under the new one.
"Both charges are fabricated," she said.
According to the materials of the criminal case, on April 19 of this year, S. Ashurov collided with recognized victim Elshan Nabiyev on the territory of the Nizami district.
As a result of the dispute, Ashurov allegedly stabbed Nabiyev.
“In fact, Samir was attacked by a tall man who picked him up and threw him on the asphalt.
At the face-to-face confrontation, a man of short stature was presented as the victim, who could not physically lift Samir in any way. However, this man slandered my husband by showing a wound on his body. However, it was a scar from old wounds,” Ashurova said.
The case will be sent to court in the coming days. Ashurov was recognized by Human rights activists recognize Ashuroiv as a political prisoner. In March of this year, he was deported from Germany, where he applied for political asylum. --06B--
