Several Fires in Baku, with Victim
On the morning of May 26 there were several fires with victims in Baku. For example, in a fire in a private dwelling house of 129 square meters in the village Hovsan, the hostess Tamella Halimova born in 1948 was killed. The fire was extinguished at 9:50.
In the Yasamal district of Baku the engine of a passenger bus MAN caught fire, with no injuries reported. The threat of fire spreading on the residential and farm buildings nearby was prevented by the firefighters.
At 10:00 in the Sabunchu district there was a fire in an area of 500 square meters contaminated by fuel oil. The spread of the fire to residential buildings and commercial facilities was stopped by firefighters. However, the black smoke from the burning fuel oil spread over a wide area and was visible from afar. This caused panic at citizens in connection with the recent fire in the nearby Binagadi district, where a 16-storey building burned and 15 residents were killed. -02D-
