Sixteen Foreigners Detained for Illegal Hunting
During the 10 months of this year 137 citizens of Azerbaijan and 16 foreigners (UAE, Turkey, Pakistan, Iraq and Syria) were detained for illegal hunting in Azerbaijan, said the Ministry of Environment.
They were seized 119 hunting rifles and ammunition. 144 violators were fined, totaling 162,600 manat. Information on the foreign offenders was sent to the State Migration Service.
It is noteworthy that the hunt for foreigners is organized by several small firms owned by oligarchs and state officials. -02D-
