State Labor Inspectorate Warns Employers Due to Hot Weather
Baku / 27.06.19 / Turan: The State Labor Inspectorate at the Ministry of Labor warned employers in connection with hot weather.
The appeal notes that, when the air temperature rises to +41 degrees, necessary measures must be taken to protect the health and life of workers. In accordance with Article 233 of the Labor Code, work at the open air is prohibited at this temperature.
In areas where there are no cooling facilities, it is necessary to periodically take breaks and to create opportunities for the workers to escape from the heat. At the same time, downtime should be paid in accordance with the official rate of the employee.
In recent days, hot weather has established in the territory of Azerbaijan. Forecasters warned of the possibility of increasing the air temperature in the coming days to +40 and more degrees - 05D06--
