State of Ogtay Gyulalyev Improving
Baku / 25.12.19 / Turan: The human rights activist Ogtay Gyulalyev remains in a positive state, the spouse of the activist said.
According to Firuza Gyulalyeva, he has not had a fever for more than a week, the creatinine level in his kidneys has decreased, and it has become easier for him to breathe.
“Ogtay is already opening his right eye. All this, according to doctors, increases the chances of waking up from a coma. However, this will take time,” said the woman.
According to her, the doctors of the American Hospital clinic ask the Heydar Aliyev Foundation to transfer the payment for treatment not 10 days, but a month in advance.
“So far no response has been received. But I hope that the proposal will be positively received,” said Firuza Gyulalyeva.
Recall that the well-known human rights activist was hit by a car in the center of Baku on October 29. He received a severe head injury leading to cerebral hemorrhage. A few hours later, he fell into a coma. On October 30, a neurosurgical operation was performed on him in Baku.
Turkish specialists who arrived on November 5 at the invitation of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation recommended that he be taken to Turkey for treatment. On November 6, he was dispatched by AZAL’s special flight to Istanbul and placed in the Avrasia Clinic. On November 19, he was transferred to the American Hospital, where the next day he underwent another neurosurgical operation to remove fluid from his head.
All costs associated with the treatment of Gyulalyev, on behalf of the First Vice President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva, were borne by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. -05B06-
