Court Rejects Lawsuit of Website against Ministry of Communications
Baku / 25.12.19 / Turan: The Baku Administrative and Economic Court ended the trial on the suit of the site arqument.az against the Ministry of Communications.
The editors consider the website blocking by the Ministry of Communications on April 8-10 this year unlawful.
According to website editor Shamshad Agha, the website was blocked after publishing an article and video material about a mass protest of local residents in the Jalilabad region.
"The website was blocked and they demanded that we remove the materials. We refused, and after two days they still unblocked the site," the editor said.
The editors asked to recognize the actions of the Ministry as unlawful. Representatives of the Ministry of Communications in court said they were not involved in blocking the website. After a 4-month trial, the court did not satisfy the lawsuit. The editors will appeal. -06D-
