The action before the railway administration of President
Baku/21.02.14/Turan : A group of railwaymen gathered on Friday to protest in front of the presidential administration . Several dozen people were requesting the payment of their salaries as these had not been received for several months.
They have repeatedly appealed to various departments, but in vain, and they then decided to go to the presidential administration .
In an interview with reporters, the railroad people also complained about the working conditions: they are given pulverized coal instead of coal and the cars are old and in disrepair. The railroad management in 2005 promised that they would replace the cars, but they never did. In addition, women replaced men conductors and the salary is constantly delayed.
In the Transport Ministry they do not want to listen to the railway workers. "If this time there is no reaction, we will turn to foreign embassies ," said one of the protesters .
Two of the protesters entered the reception administration where they stated their grievances and demands . - 26S04 -
