The court dismisses the claim of the CEC member
Baku/20.05.14/Turan : Today the Administrative Economic Court No.1 , chaired by Tahira Asadova considered a complaint of the non-governmental Institute for Democratic Initiatives against the Ministry of Justice. The court dismissed the claim of the Institute for refusal of registration by the Justice Ministry.
This NGO was established by a group of lawyers and public figures of November 5, 2013. Head of the Institute is CEC member Akif Gurbanov. The lawsuit was filed in connection with the fact that the three appeals to the Ministry of Justice of the registration were rejected.
The Court also did not explain on what basis the complaint was rejected, said Akif Gurbanov. "The court acquitted the illegal actions of the Ministry of Justice, thus proving that it is a political decision," he said. -03D-
