The opening ceremony of the national stadium named after Tofiq Bahramov
On Thursday, the opening ceremony of the Republican stadium named after Tofig Bakhramov, after the reconstruction, took place with President Ilham Aliyev.
Youth and Sports Minister, Azad Rahimov, reported that the works were performed by the Korean company "Samhwa Telecom". The number of seats increased to 31,200, and the grass cover meets the requirements of FIFA. The works were carried out by German experts, who have created a special drainage system and covering heating. Running tracks have been also made by German firms, lighting system and electronic scoreboard were replaced.
At the stadium seats fire coverage have been installed, and 16 "family rooms", each for 10 people, have been built in the tribunes. There is also a building for VIP guests and a restaurant for 205 people. Changing rooms and support space have been reported.
The most significant change at the stadium became the covers at the tribune, which allow to cover fully seat from sun and rain.
The official statement says nothing about the cost of all these works. Game of the Football World Cup among girls during from September 22 to October 13 will take place at the stadium. -02D-
