Defense Ministry denies reports of trafficking organs of deceased soldiers
Azerbaijani Defense Ministry denied recent statements about the seizure of the internal organs of the dead soldiers. A statement on this occasion has been made today by Rasim Aliyev, the Chief of the Forensic Center of Armed Forces. He said that samples are taken from the internal organs at autopsy for the laboratory examination to establish the cause of death. This process is based on the written decision of law enforcement agencies while making photos and video.
Parents of the deceased may take part in an examination of the corpse, with the consent of the prosecutor or investigator.
In accordance with the instructions, during the survey the samples are taken from cranial, thoracic and abdominal cavities by expert, they are examined and returned.
Therefore, the statements on the seizure of the internal organs from the dead soldiers are not justified. Rasim Aliyev accused the human rights defender Alekper Mamedov of a dirty campaign against the Ministry of Defense, and intends to sue him in court in connection with the statements that the bodies of the soldiers are seized for the needs of the oligarchs.
Lately, the parents of two deceased soldiers held a press conference where they announced the seizure of organs.–06D-
