The protest against the felling of trees (Video)
The tenants of houses along the street Fatali Khan Khoysky today held a protest against the felling of trees. They blocked the street, which caused a stop of transport.
According to users of social networks, police arrived at the scene, and pushed the citizens away. After negotiations, the residents released the way, however, demand to stop deforestation.
Representatives of the company conducting the work stated said that logging is conducted legally, and there is even a judicial decision.
The representative of the Ministry of Ecology Ragub Mirzoyev, who arrived to the scene at the request of the residents, said that his department will conduct investigation.
"According to preliminary information, trees with the root diameter of 12, 14, 16 cm, fruit trees, seedlings were cut. Currently there are no exact figures. However, in any case, everything will be documented, an appeal will be made to the police to identify the culprits.
The investigation will be conducted under the Article 253 of the Code of Administrative Offences, the guilt against whom will be taken statutory measures," quotes Mirzoyev "Radio Azadliq.”- 06D-
