An explosion at a gas pipeline on December 27 in the village of Sangachal (43 km from Baku), was technogenic, said the State Oil Company SOCAR country. At the same time, the report noted that the cause of the accident on a gas pipeline isunder investigation, there are several versions. Among the possible causes of the accident is called the low quality of welding materials or gas pipeline, commissioned in 2002, and the deterioration of the aggressive environment of the pipeline and the landslide area. After the explosion, the fire started on the pipeline, which was extinguished after a few hours. According to official statistics, there were not victims.
