Baku/16.01.20/Turan: On January 17, partly cloudy, no precipitation is expected in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula. This is stated in the message of the National Hydro-meteorological Service, published on January 16.

According to the report, the temperature on the Absheron Peninsula will be 3-6 C at night, 9-13 C in the daytime. In Baku it will be 4-6 C at night and 10-12 C in the daytime.

On January 17 in the regions of the country it is expected mostly rainless. There will be fog in several areas. A west wind will blow, with intensifying gusts in several places. The temperature will be 1-5 degrees Celsius at night, 7-12 degrees Celsius in the daytime, 2 to 3 degrees of frost in the mountains at night, and 3-8 degrees in the daytime.

The service informs that in Baku and Absheron from the evening of January 19 until January 21, the weather will change, with heavy rainfall and sleet expected.

A northwest wind will blow, increasing to 15-20 m/s, with gusts up to 23-25 m/s. The air temperature will gradually decrease by 5-10° compared to the previous day, a blizzard is expected on January 20-21, and ice will be on the roads on January 21-22 at night.

In the western regions of Azerbaijan from 18 January to 21 January, partly cloudy and snowy weather is expected. There is a possibility that it will be intense in several areas. The west wind will increase to 15-18 m/s, in some places up to 23-25 ​​m/s. Snowstorms, ice on roads in mountainous and foothill areas are likely.   -0-
