The concern "Avesta", headed by Ibrahimov, refused to give any information to confirm or deny the arrest of boss.
Meanwhile, earlier Nehramli admitted that he had been summoned for questioning by the Office for combating organized crime, and they demanded until May 19 to repay the loan of $78 million to the International Bank.
Apparently, the owner of the adventure of the project «Caspian Islands» (the analogue of "Dubai Palm) really has been detained. According to various media publications, all of the projects concern "Avesta" have been frozen for a couple of months, and many workers did not receive salary. It is also reported that Nehramli’s property has been put up for sale.
At the same time, one of the newspapers that painstakingly wrote about the "successes" of Nehramli, describing his trips and meetings, "suddenly" ceased to praise him.
Nehramli is the brother of the head of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora Nazim Ibrahimov.
Meanwhile, the scandal "oligarchgate", one of the defendants which is Nehramli, continues to gain momentum. According to various estimates, the volume of bad loans of the International Bank exceeds one billion dollars, and debtor-oligarchs have paid back only about $100 million. -02D-
