Baku /07.10.19 / Turan: On October 6, the DokuBaku International Documentary Film Festival ended. At the closing ceremony at the Capella House, the jury announced the winners.
According to the press release of the Union of Cinematographers of Azerbaijan, in the nomination
"The Best Short Documentary" the film "In the Interval" (directed by Samir Karakhoda) won;
In the nomination "Best full-length documentary", the winner was the film "The absence of my mother" (script and direction by Benyamino Barrezi);
In the nomination "Best Short Documentary" "Once Upon a Time in Shanghai" (directed by Leyli Gafarova) won;
The Jury Award was received by "Save Salam" (director Orkhan Adigozalov);
The Audience Award was received by the film "Taste of Hope" (directed by Laura Coppens).
Speaking at the event, the Secretary of the Union of Cinematographers of Azerbaijan Ali Isa Jabbarov noted the importance of the festival not only for the cinema of the country, but also for society as a whole.
Established by Imam Hasanov and Veronika Yanatkova, the festival is held for the third time.
This year, 181 documentaries from 32 countries took part in Baku. Of these, 43 films are feature films. -02D-
