Terror in Turkey. Iranian intelligence network in Azerbaijan
Baku/14.11.22/Turan: On Sunday, as a result of an explosion in the center of Istanbul, where there are many people on a pedestrian street, six people died and 53 were injured.
The Armenian terrorist organization ASALA claimed responsibility for the explosion, according to information disseminated by Armenian telegram channels.
According to the information in the Turkish media, it is assumed that the kamikaze was Jiyan Tosun. She was reported to be a member of the PKK. For this reason, it is highly likely that the attack was carried out by the PKK. During the operation, carried out at 02:50, a Syrian citizen Ahlam Albashir was detained. Under interrogation, this man said that he was trained by the terrorist organization PKK (Partiya Karkerên Kurdistan - Kurdistan Workers Party) / PYD as a special agent and with the aim of activating illegally entered the country through Afrin.
An agent network created by the Iranian secret services was exposed in Azerbaijan. According to information published on the website of the State Security Service, Azerbaijanis Zahir Askerov, Elnur Rasulov, Arif Rasulov, Mirhafiz Jafarzade, and Bakhtiyar Agazade were prosecuted and arrested under the Article 274 (high treason) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
Security expert Ilham Ismail speaks about the possible perpetrators of the terrorist attack in Istanbul and the Iranian intelligence network in Azerbaijan in the program "Difficult Question".
According to him, the handwriting of the attack indicates that it was the work of the PKK.
“The terrorist radical Islamist organizations that exist in Afghanistan and Pakistan do not use women. Arab organizations use women, often as suicide bombers. However, these are not Arabs, they have nothing to do with it. IS (Islamic State) used to, for the purpose of self-promotion, take responsibility for almost any terrorist attack. Subsequently, it turned out that the attack was committed by another organization.”
As for ASALA, according to the expert, it suspended its activities for a long time, explaining that their goal was the independence of Armenia. And since this goal has been achieved, it does not show much activity.
A meeting of their Council, at which the possibility of resuming terrorist activities was admitted, took place only after 44-day war in Lebanon. But no concrete decisions were made,” Ilham Ismail said, adding that the terrorist attack in Istanbul was carried out by the PKK.
“Almost 30-40% of PKK members are women. They can fight by participating in battles with men and commit terrorist attacks. A woman was involved in the terrorist attack in Istanbul, and this is a sure sign that it was organized by the PKK,” the expert claims.

Azerbaijani pro-government media have unleashed an unexpected wave of anti-Russian rhetoric, including claims of espionage at the "Russian House" and accusations that the opposition National Council has ties with Moscow. Chairman of the National Council of Democratic Forces Jamil Hasanli dismissed the allegations as baseless, describing them as part of a smear campaign by the government to shift attention from its own close ties with the Kremlin.
