4,700 Employees Lose Work in Month
As of February 1, formal employment in Azerbaijan decreased by 4.7 thousand people. If at the beginning of the year in the country's economy there were employed 1,516.1 thousand workers, in a month the number of registered employees amounted to 1,511.4 thousand.
At the same time, according to the State Statistics, the average wage has not actually grown - as of February 1, it was 444.4 manat - 10 kopecks higher than in early January.
In the public sector, by 1 February were employed 881.6 thousand workers (January 1 - 884.4 thousand), and in the private sector - 629.8 thousand workers (631.7 thousand a month earlier). --17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
