At trial, witnesses were Rasul Jafarov
At today's trial in the case of the human rights activist Rasul Jafarov in the Baku Serious Crimes Court witnesses gave testimonies. A witness Rufat Aleskerov said that in 2011 Jafarov held at the Jazz center an event, paid for rent 1000 manats, and for the services 1,500 manat. He was issued a check.
Witness Parviz Aziz is a translator. As an interpreter in 2013 he entered into an agreement for a period of six months. "For my services I have twice received the money for the first time 734.58 manat, the second time - 732.90 manat. Witness Javid Gurbanov showed that he received 1720 manat for the film he made.
Then the judge Eldar Ismailov said that there was only one witness - Rashid Shirinov, who did not come to the court. Measures will be taken to establish his place of residence, then the accused gave testimonies. The next trial is scheduled for March 31 at 10:30.
* Rasul Jafarov was arrested on 2 August 2014. He is accused of illegal business activities, abuse of office and official negligence, misappropriation.
