Approved Program of Measures to Combat Malignant Blood Diseases
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the program of measures to combat malignant blood diseases in 2017-2021, respectively.
The ultimate goal of the program is to bring up to date the diagnosis and treatment of malignant blood diseases, reducing the mortality rate for this type of disease. The program will be funded from the state budget. Diagnosis and treatment of the disease and providing patients with drugs will be provided by the Ministry of Health.
The program provides for the training of qualified personnel for the treatment of diseases of the implementation of education for the prevention of malignant blood diseases.
Azerbaijan has registered more than 2,500 patients suffering from malignant blood diseases, including 300 children. Diagnosis and treatment of this disease requires large financial resources. In most cases, due to poverty, patients are forced to come to terms with the disease and wait for certain death. -08B--
