Azerbaijan Advanced by 1% in Licensed Software
BSA Association, which published a report on the level of piracy in software by the end of 2015 (http://globalstudy.bsa.org/2016/downloads/studies/BSA_GSS_InBrief_US.pdf), believes that in Azerbaijan this figure for the two reported periods decreased by only 1% to 84%, despite the awareness of users about the high risk of cyber attacks.
Researchers have directly linked the trend to the financial capacity of the population - every user spent $ 103 on this in 2013, and $ 90 two years later.
For comparison: Armenia uses unlicensed software at 86% by spending $ 18, Georgia - 84% ($ 25), Russia - 64% ($ 1,341), and Kazakhstan - 73% ($ 89).
Globally, 39% of software installed on computers in 2015 turned out to be counterfeit. The difference in the level of piracy in the regions is affected by a number of factors - intellectual property protection, the availability of pirated software, and cultural differences, the researchers said. In addition, the level of piracy in each country is not uniform - it varies depending on the advancement of the country and the settlement.--17D-
