Azerbaijan Advanced by 1% in Licensed Software
BSA Association, which published a report on the level of piracy in software by the end of 2015 (http://globalstudy.bsa.org/2016/downloads/studies/BSA_GSS_InBrief_US.pdf), believes that in Azerbaijan this figure for the two reported periods decreased by only 1% to 84%, despite the awareness of users about the high risk of cyber attacks.
Researchers have directly linked the trend to the financial capacity of the population - every user spent $ 103 on this in 2013, and $ 90 two years later.
For comparison: Armenia uses unlicensed software at 86% by spending $ 18, Georgia - 84% ($ 25), Russia - 64% ($ 1,341), and Kazakhstan - 73% ($ 89).
Globally, 39% of software installed on computers in 2015 turned out to be counterfeit. The difference in the level of piracy in the regions is affected by a number of factors - intellectual property protection, the availability of pirated software, and cultural differences, the researchers said. In addition, the level of piracy in each country is not uniform - it varies depending on the advancement of the country and the settlement.--17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
