Baku to Host Third Meeting of INTOSAI
The third meeting of the Special Unit of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) on the audit of public procurement will be held in Baku in 2016.
According to the report of the Accounting Chamber of Azerbaijan, it was announced in the second meeting in Moscow. Recall INTOSAI was established at the initiative of the Russian Audit Chamber and the Main Control Directorate of the US. Its activities are aimed at developing universal approaches and procedures for the audit of public procurement and are based on the potential of the SAIs that have best practices in this field.
The Special Unit aims to analyze the international experience and methodological basis of the organization and conduct of audit in the area of ??procurement, to develop standards of public procurement on the basis of the results of the international auditing, to work out handbooks on the audit of public procurement in specific sectors and areas, and to create an integrated training base. --17D-

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance.
