On 10 August "Procter & Gamble Azerbaijan Servisleri Ltd." held a conference in Baku on identifying counterfeit goods, and to combat this phenomenon. The conference was organized for the employees of the State Customs Committee for the organization of the fight against counterfeit goods with the use of proprietary brands of Procter & Gamble at all stages of receipt of goods at the customs border of Azerbaijan. Director of the company Taigun Gunay spoke about the struggle "Procter & Gamble" against counterfeit goods on a global scale. Regional specialist of "Procter & Gamble" Denis starches made a presentation about the channels of passage of smuggled goods, the methods used by smugglers and effective ways to combat this phenomenon.
The Baku office of "Procter & Gamble" said Turan, that this is the third conference of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee employees. Smuggling counterfeit goods under the brand name "Procter & Gamble" occurs in Azerbaijan, the purpose of these measures is to reduce it to a minimum. Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
