Corporate Securities Lead in Market
Last year, the total volume of securities transactions in the local market amounted to 8 billion 894 million 88.75 thousand manat (+ 1% against the last year).
According to the information of the State Committee for Securities, the share of corporate securities accounted for more than half (53.3%) of the trades or 4 billion 737 million 505.9 thousand manat, increasing by 2.7 times.
In particular, the volume of transactions in shares amounted to 1 billion 279 million 438.13 thousand manat (an increase of 2.2 times), including the primary market - 1 billion 137 million 879.09 thousand manat (growth 2.7 times) and the secondary market - 141 million 559.04 thousand manat (minus 5%).
The volume of transactions in corporate bonds in the reporting year increased 3 times - up to 3 billion 458 million 67.78 thousand manat, including the primary market denominated in AZN - 191 million 276.91 thousand manat (minus 31% ), the primary market denominated in US dollars - 1 billion 983 million 527.94 thousand manat (an increase of 30 times), the secondary market denominated in manat - 1 billion 278 million 548.73 thousand manat (+ 56%), and the secondary market denominated in US dollars - 4 million 714.19 thousand manat (from scratch).
According to the SSC, in 2014 the volume of transactions in government securities decreased by 41% - to 4 billion 156 million 582.85 thousand manat. The volume of operations with Treasury bonds amounted to 107 million 908.65 thousand manat (minus 20%), with notes of the Central Bank - 507 million 865.06 thousand manat (+ 48%), and repo operations - 3 billion 540 million 809.14 thousand manat (minus 46%). --17D-
