Cost of Train Ticket on Route Baku-Sumgait Decreased
The cost of a ticket for travel in business class carriages on the railway route Baku-Sumgait decreased from 1.60 to 1.20 manat. This is the second reduction in ticket price this year, the press service of CJSC Azerbaijani Railways (ASR) told Turan.
With the commissioning of this route using the new double-decker trains of Stadler Company in June 2015 the cost of a ticket in business class carriages was set at 2.50 manat.
Ticket price for the Business Class category is defined by the ASR and Economy Class – by the Tariff (Price) Council.
The press service of ASR said that this route carries an average of 3,000 passengers daily.
Note that from November 19 ASR will move to new schedule timetables on the specified route. Ten trains will run on the Baku-Sumgait route daily. The train reaches its destination in 40 minutes. ----08B
