Starting tomorrow, the Ministry of Agriculture together with the Ministry of Economy and Industry will organize fairs of agricultural products in Baku and Sumgait, until 31 December. They promise that the prices will be lower than those in the market.
The fairs are held in order to improve the population’s safety in agricultural and food products and the "fight against the artificial increase in prices" for them.
Employees of the Ministry of Agriculture will personally supervise the work of the trade fairs and the regulation of the prices.
Total in Baku five venues have been allocated for the fairs in the Sabail, Surakhani, Binagadi, Narimanov and Khatai districts of the capital.
Note that after the devaluation of the manat on 21 December the prices for agricultural products rose, regarding not only foreign but also domestic production. Experts believe that this factor is a significant impact on the people’s pockets and the living standards. -----08D
