In the first half of the year the income from airline cargo transportation totaled $171.7 million manat. This is by 0.1% less than in the same period last year. The volume of cargo (28.4 tons) increased by 16.9%.
According to State Statistics Committee (SSC) , the costs for freight carriers (AZN 123.5 million) increased by 0.1%. Thus, the profit of cargo carriers in the first half of the year amounted to 48.2 million manat.
Over seven months of this year the volume of cargo carriages in the air transport reached 32.400 tons (+17%).
The bulk of goods is transported by airlines of the "Silk Way Airlines", which operates outside the country. According to SSC, some of the goods were transported by airline "Azerbaijan Airlines" and "Turan Air". -0 –

According to consumer complaints, it is difficult to find weight information on factory-produced bread, commonly known as "zavod çörəyi" in Azerbaijan. In many cases, bread packaging does not include weight details. Similarly, bread sold at smaller bakeries and tandir houses often lacks information apart from the price.

A trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers, transport ministers, energy ministers, and heads of customs services of Russia, Iran, and Azerbaijan is set to take place soon to discuss the progress of the Rasht-Astara railway project, a key element of the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC).
