For the first time Azerbaijan Municipality held a tender
The Municipality in the Badamdar settlement of Baku city became the first in Azerbaijan, which for the first time since the beginning of the formation in 1999, the country's Institute of Local Self-Government held a tender for the procurement of goods (works and services).

In 2012, total revenue budgets of municipalities in Azerbaijan amounted to AZN 35,860,500 . This represents only 0.2 % of the revenues of the state budget for the same period . Half of the revenues to the budgets of local governments went on the content of their executive office .
