In 2013 China imported a record volume of crude oil from Kazakhstan – 11.85 million tons. This is up 14.09% against 2012, local media reported on Wednesday referring to the statement of the government of the north-western Sinzan-Uigur Autonomous Region through which oil is exported to China via the China-Kazakhstan pipeline.
The oil pipeline, via which the fuel is transported to China, is 1200 km long from Atasu city in Kazakhstan to PetroChina Dushanzi Petrochemical Company located in Sinzan region Dushanzi.
Since the beginning of operation in December 2006 China imported 63.62 million tons of crude oil via the pipeline mainly for the state enterprises located in Peking and Sinzan-Uigur Autonomous Region.—0—
