International Silver Certificate for Azercell
The local mobile operator and Internet service provider Azercell Telecom has been successfully evaluated by the standards of IIP (Investing in People), thus awarded the Silver Certificate.
According to the press release, Azercell is the first and only telecommunications company in the CIS, which received such an award. To this day, outside the UK, a silver certificate was received by 19 international companies. For the first time Azercell was awarded the International Certificate for the IIP standard in 2006.
Nominations are put forward on the basis of a study conducted by consultants IIP, which are registered by the International Quality Center (IQC). The IQC commission determines the level of compliance of the company with requirements of this certificate.
In the process of confirmation of the certificate Azercell Telecom has put into practice a number of significant events. IIP consultants conducted individual interviews and surveys via e-mail and with regional representatives of the company by means of telephone communication. This year there have been successfully evaluated 94 of the 126 evaluation criteria of the standard. The process was attended by 61 employees of Azercell.
International standard assesses involvement of employees in the process of formulation of the company's strategy and goals, the company's commitment to advanced processes in the field of human resources and strategy of the company. Assessed is the role and participation of workers in decision-making and so on, as well as compliance with intellectual property development strategy of the company, and creation of a platform for the development of leadership skills, social responsibility and the definition of staff productivity.
Companies operating under the standard IIP should undergo re-certification every 3 years. --17D-
