List of People Having Access to Trade Secrets Expanded
President Ilham Aliyev signed on 4 October a decree, according to which the list of people who can know commercial (tax) secrets has been expanded.
Initially, in 2003, commercial (tax) secrets were accessible only to eight people in the Ministry of Taxes. In 2010, the list was expanded somewhat. The final decree also includes the chief of the tax audit and operational audit department of the Taxes Ministry, heads of territorial tax departments and offices, as well as the head of the section for combating organized crime in the economic sphere in the Tax Crime Preliminary Investigation Department under the Taxes Ministry. -----08D

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
