Official Annual Inflation - 1.6%
In Azerbaijan from January to November, the average consumer price inflation in annual terms was 1.6%. Residents of the Khachmaz area felt the impact of inflation at 7.5%.
According to the committee, within 10 months of the year compared with the same period in 2013 food prices grew by 1.1%, non-food products - 3.6%, and services to the population - 0.4%.
Khachmaz considered a tourist region of the country is also known by its potential for the cultivation of fruits and vegetables. This year, it took the lead in the level of growth in food prices (10.5%) and non-food products (8.1%.). The gap in prices for food baskets between this and other regions of the country is also associated with the close proximity to the Russian Federation and the dependence of the population on the Russian market, where there is not only high inflation, but also the devaluation of the ruble.
In Baku the State Statistics Committee recorded inflation almost similar to the level seen in the country. In the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic there is officially deflation: this year the prices dropped by an average of 0.7% there. --08B--
