Over 200 Turkish Trucks Transported
From the 1st to the 14th of December over 200 Turkish trucks were forwarded on the route Baku-Aktau. About 200 trucks are waiting for transportation in the Baku Sea Trade Port in Alat. They are moving from Turkey to Kazakhstan, Turan was told in CJSC Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company.
The press service of the shipping company noted that convey of trucks in transit across the Caspian Sea by ferry has become more complicated because of the bad weather, which prevents their unloading in the port of Aktau. "Aktau has only one berth, which is also not protected from high waves. The work is complicated also by technical problems arising on the berth."
According to the plan drawn up, ferries depart from Baku to Aktau twice a week (Wednesday and Friday). However, due to increasing demand, the number of ferries used has been increased and additional routes are arranged. ----08B
