Over 75 % of New Jobs Belong to Iindividuals
In the first nine months of this year 82 thousand new jobs were created in Azerbaijan, of which 61.4 thsd are constant ones. In this case, the State Statistics Committee recognizes that 75.8 % of permanent jobs are individuals, that is, persons engaged in certain types of business (mostly retail), without creating a legal entity.
According to the State Statistics Committee, in the second state program of socio - economic development of regions, from January 2009, there were created 443.1 thousand jobs, of which 336.7 thsd ( 76%) are constants. The share of Baku in the structure of jobs is quite high - 27.1%. The share of private sector in creating jobs this year is 96.1 %.
The Statistical Office indicates that only 10 % of the new jobs were created in enterprises and organizations established this year. Another 13.9 % of the jobs opened in already existing plants.
According to the Ministry of Taxes, from the beginning of this year, the number of taxpayers in the country grew by 47.6 thsd, of which approximately 95 % were individuals. - 08D -
