Transneft Stops Pumping Oil from Azerbaijan for Repairs in Makhachkala
The transportation of oil from Azerbaijan (Shirvanovka) to the port of Novorossiysk has stopped, the adviser to the President of Transneft, spokesman Igor Demin told the media.
According to him, in Makhachkala, the discharge of oil from tankers was stopped by JSC Dagnefteprodukt (reception of oil from the port is carried out by the Dagnefteprodukt tanks). A tanker is waiting in the port. “In connection with the repair work in the dark petroleum products workshop, crude oil transfer is delayed for three days,” said the letter from Dagnefteprodukt to Chernomortransneft on January 9, 2017.
Demin did not say how the repair of the plant is connected with pumping of oil.
“In this regard, the transport of oil from Azerbaijan (Shirvanovka) has been stopped. The oil is required for compounding Kazakhstan oil discharged in the port,” said the spokesman. -12D--
