Turkmenistan intensified construction of export gas pipeline to the west
Construction of the East-West gas pipeline, which is among the most important objects of Turkmenistan, has intensified, reported the Turkmenistan Ministry of Oil and Gas Industry and Mineral Resources.
“Construction of the gas pipeline sections Belek-Gumdag, Bereket-Gumdag, Bami-Archman-Baharly and Ashagabt-Baharly has intensified,” reads the information.
The same source said that construction of this gas pipeline with the carrying capacity of 30 billion cub.m. a year, which will connect east of Turkmenistan with the Caspian Sea, is discussed at the government sessions.
Seven gas compressor stations and other infrastructure objects will be built along the gas pipeline route and their documents are currently under preparation. All works are planned to be completed in 2015.
Construction and assembly works on the gas pipeline about 70 km long is carried out by the sub-divisions of the state concerns Turkmengas and Turkmennebitgasgurlushuk.
Implementation of the project worth over $2 billion started in Turkmenistan in 2010. The gas pipeline, which will be built from the gas installation on the Shatlyk station in Mary province, will connect big fields on the east of the country with its western regions.
East-West gas pipeline will help to supply the metallurgic plant in Ruhabat, textile complex, the enterprises producing building materials and the industrial sectors in Abadan with gas, reported Russian Oil.—0—
