The Ukrainian authorities issue an ultimatum to rioters
Power structures of Ukraine issued an ultimatum to rioters in downtown Kiev. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and heads of the Security Service of Ukraine, the opposition leaders must placate protesters, cease armed confrontation, and return to the negotiatings.
"We warn hot irresponsible heads of the opposition - the government has the power to restore order. And if disorder, we will be forced to resort start tough action," reads the statement.
If by 18:00 disturbances in the capital do not stop, troops will be required to " bring order by c means provided by law ," reads the a statement.
During the clashes last evening and night in Kiev up to 25 people were killed.
Today, activists of Maidan launched an offensive against Verkhovna Rada with the demand to return to the constitution of 2004, which limited the power of the president.
Security officials blocked the approaches to the building, the shooting started, there are victims on both sides. Regions of Ukraine reported about the capture of state institutions, and the opposition clashes with police.
