Baku/27.02.14/Turan : Two activists of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA ) Bahruz Hasanli and Tazakhan Miralamli were sentenced Feb. 27 , respectively, to 20 and 15 days of administrative arrest . Both were found guilty of not subordinating to the police.
The PPFA call these charges flimsy. The party believes that the activists are pursued in connection with the procession of PPFA supporters after visiting the memorial to victims of the Khojaly genocide on February 26.
In particular, Hasanli is one of the bodyguards (volunteer) of the PFPA leader Ali Kerimli and he did not allow the police to use force against the party leader.
The police claim is caused by the opposition chanting slogans "Justice for Khojaly", "Heroes are immortal" and "Indivisible motherland!".
February 27 was also arrested the head of the Youth Committee of PPFA Ilham Hussein, whose fate is still unknown to the party. Hussein was taken by a local police inspector. -06B-
