Armenia plans to open three checkpoints on the border with Azerbaijan
Baku/18.08.22/ Turan: On the basis of instructions from the Prime Minister of the country, the National Security Service of Armenia published a project to create new checkpoints on the state border with Azerbaijan. In the document released today, these three points should be established in the following places on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border:
1. "Sotk" ("Kelbajar"), highway M11 - automobile to the Kalbajar region.
2. "Yeraskh" ("Sadarak"), Yeraskh community - automobile to the Sadarak region.
3. "Karahunj" ("Eyvazli"), Syunik region, Karahunj community, highway M2 - automobile to Kubatly region, Eyvazli village - automobile.
The checkpoints installed at the state border will begin to operate the next day after the completion of the relevant construction work and equipment, the project says. Specific construction dates are not specified. -02D-

On Monday, the Baku Appeals Court considered the appeal of Talysh researcher Iqbal Abilov against the extension of his detention for another four months. The defense argued that the decision to extend Abilov's detention was unjustified, lawyer Fariz Namazly told reporters.
