Armenia refuses trilateral meeting of foreign ministers in Moscow
Baku/12.22.22/Turan: Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov expressed regret at Yerevan's refusal to participate in the negotiations on a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan scheduled for December 23 in Moscow, the message of the Russian Foreign Ministry on Thursday following a telephone conversation between the foreign ministers of the Russian Federation and Azerbaijan.
The ministers stressed the importance of continuing rhythmic work on the implementation of the tripartite statements of the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia dated November 9, 2020, January 11 and November 26, 2021, as well as October 31, 2022.
A trilateral meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia and the Russian Federation was announced for December 23. On the same day, Nikol Pashinyan is expected to meet with Ilham Aliyev at the informal CIS summit in St. Petersburg. ----06B----
