Armenians decided to appeal to the ECHR against Azerbaijan following the results of the Second Karabakh war and cases of 30 years ago
Baku/04.01.20/Turan: Before the new year, Larisa Arakelyan, who calls herself a human rights defender from Nagorno-Karabakh, called on Facebook the Armenians who suffered during the riots in Sumgait, Baku, Ganja and other regions of Azerbaijan in 1988-91, during the First Karabakh war (1001-94), during the April 2016 war, as well as the Second Karabakh war 2020, send their testimony. “We continue to collect (until January 13) statements and testimonies from civilians from the above-mentioned regions for filing with the ECHR against Azerbaijan and Turkey.
The following documents are required:
- the testimony of the applicant (sample, those issues that need to be covered in the testimony, we will send:)
- Documents confirming your property (if not, then just indicate the address, the rest of the government of Artsakh and Armenia will provide on the basis of your application to the court)
- a photo or video of your house, yard (even very old ones can be)
- photos and videos from the above events, if any, indicating where, when and with whom it happened.
- any documents, articles and confirmations indicating atrocious relations on the part of Azerbaijan with the above events.
In parallel with filing a lawsuit against Azerbaijan of events 44 days of war in 2020, we are restoring the lawsuit frozen in 2006 over the pogroms in Sumgait, Baku, Kirovabad, Mingechaur and other regions of Azerbaijan against the Armenian population.
