Azerbaijani border guard wounded as a result of shelling from Armenia
Baku/20.03.23/Turan: Last night, units of the Armenian armed forces fired at the positions of Azerbaijani border guards in the Zangilan region. This is stated in the message of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan.
On March 20, at 02:50, on the section of the Azerbaijani-Armenian state border passing through the territory of the Zangilan region, units of the Armenian Armed Forces from positions located in the direction of the settlement of Nerkin-And in the Gafan region opened fire on the positions of the Azerbaijani border troops located at the height of Agbashyurd in Zangilan district.
As a result of a provocation by the Armenian side, a serviceman of the State Border Service, junior sergeant Manafov Ramin Subkhi ogly was wounded.
The serviceman was evacuated to a specialized medical facility and operated on, there is no threat to his life.
Currently, the operational situation is stable and are under the full control of our units, the message goes on.
The State Border Service regards this incident as another provocation of Armenia, and the responsibility for this lies entirely with the Armenian side.
