Azerbaijani Defense Ministry Reports on Shelling of Terter City
Baku / 28.09.20 / Turan: The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan reported on the shelling of the city of Terter by the Armenian armed forces.
“On September 28, in the morning, the Armenian armed forces shell the city of Terter.
The leadership of the Ministry of Defense is warning the enemy for the last time that we will take adequate retaliatory measures against them,” the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
It is also reported that two tanks and other military equipment of the Armenian Armed Forces were destroyed in order to prevent the enemy's combat activity. The message is accompanied by photos and videos.
In a night message, the Ministry of Defense called the data on the losses of the Azerbaijani army made public by the Armenian side disinformation.
At the same time, the Azerbaijani military department disseminated information about the enemy's losses.
“According to the intelligence received by the end of the day of the operation, the Armenian army suffered serious losses as a result of the hostilities. Destroyed were 22 tanks and other armored vehicles of the enemy, 15 anti-aircraft missile systems Osa, 18 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and 8 artillery installations. The enemy's casualties in manpower amounted to more than 550 killed and wounded. Three ammunition depots of the Armenian army were destroyed in different directions,” the press release says.
In addition, the message goes on to say, during the fighting in the direction of the village of Talysh, the commander of the enemy's air assault battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Lernik Vardanyan, was destroyed, and the personnel of the military unit he commanded suffered heavy losses.
Due to the large number of wounded in the enemy army, there is a shortage of beds in military and civilian hospitals, as well as a lack of blood supply.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Defense's press service on October 15, the Azerbaijani army is establishing units composed of recruits with high intellectual capabilities. After completing the basic training program, these recruits will continue their service in special units.
